LA CROISETTE
BESPOKE RESIDENTIAL INTERIOR DESIGN IN CANNES, FRENCH RIVIERA
The story of La Croisette began when the clients said, “We are like magpies - we love everything gold.” My answer was simple: gold can be exceptionally elegant. It all depends on how it is used.
At first glance, their preference could easily have been interpreted as excessive or even kitsch. But the role of an interior designer is not to reject a client’s taste or replace it with a personal vision. It is to understand what the client genuinely loves and translate those preferences into a refined and coherent interior.

I encouraged the clients not to feel embarrassed by their wishes or hide what truly appealed to them. A client should be able to speak openly, even when an idea is still instinctive, contradictory or difficult to explain.
My responsibility is to listen carefully, understand the intention behind those words and transform it into a beautiful design shaped by proportion, balance and good taste.

Instead of using literal gold throughout the apartment, I introduced brass and combined it with rich green and warm beige tones.
Decorative plasterwork added architectural depth, refinement and a sense of understated grandeur.
Every material and colour preserved the character of the clients’ original idea while giving the interior elegance, harmony and visual discipline.

The result does not conceal what the clients love - it expresses it in a more sophisticated way. La Croisette demonstrates that bold personal preferences and elegance are not opposites. When a designer deeply understands the people behind a project, even an idea that might initially appear extravagant can become a distinctive, tasteful and deeply personal interior.
This project reflects the essence of my approach to interior design. My clients do not need to arrive with a perfect brief or know how to describe exactly what they want. I listen beyond the first words, identify what truly matters to them and turn their thoughts, preferences and contradictions into an interior that feels entirely their own.
